Where to buy vegetarian products Part I

I'm not sure how many people are familiar with Asian vegetarian products, so I've decided maybe it would be helpful to write about them. They are usually either soy based or mushroom based, but unlike many western ones that you can easily get from most grocery stores, Asian ones are usually a lot more flavourful. These products are also a good start for people who are thinking about eating less meat or transitioning to a vegetarian. I have many non-veggie friends that have told me how much they like veggie meat :)

There are actually quite a few stores that sell vegetarian/vegan meat and food products in the greater Vancouver area. This time I will just start with T&T.

The good thing about these frozen vegetarian meat products is that most of them are already edible, you don't have to cook them long. So if you're not sure how long to cook them, usually getting them hot is good enough.

This is the freezer section for vegetarian products at Metrotown T&T Supermarket.
The ball shaped ones are usually for hot pots but they can also be cut up(not not) and stir fried with veggies or eaten alone, or however you would like to eat them.

I probably eat these the most. Veggie dumplings and veggie hot pot. They are so easy to prepare!! All you need is a pot and hot water.

Yakisoba, Veggie Sausage, and Veggie Ham. There are different flavours for the veggie ham and sausages. Just take a look at the package to find out. Although I have to admit that sometimes they don't always have the best translations, but don't be scared! :P

These are the curry I buy :)

So if you haven't had any experience with vegetarian meat and feel adventurous, you know where to start :)
