Usually once a week we would go for a lunch at Yaletown and it would somehow always end up being Thai food :P This time, there were only three of us and we thought we should go for something different. Even though it wasn't the nicest day for a walk, we decided to venture our way up Davie Street to Miura Waffle Milk Bar for some waffle 'sandos', which is derived from the japanese word ンドイッチ sandoicchi, which means Sandwich. (from their website)
Inside of Miura Waffle Milk Bar. (I have been forgetting to take pictures of outside the restaurants I've been to >_<)
Counter
There are only about maybe five or six tables inside, definitely not for big groups. The whole place was filled with yummy waffle smells.
Blurry pic of a bunch waffle makers on the counter.
If you add 2 dollars, you can make it a combo - any waffle sando + daily soup + coffee or tea.
The daily soup that day happened to be veggie miso soup and my friend got the combo so I took a pic of it with my veggie sando.
They have a pretty small menu and Veggie Sando seems to be the only veggie choice under their savoury waffle sando menu. It has spinach, mushroom and cheese. I thought it was yummy, loved the waffle crust. Portion was not too big, but good enough. When the weather warms up, I would like to take a nice walk under the sun and come back for some of their sweet waffle sandos :) oh, and for their 'flavoured milk' too!
