Vancouver Veggi Pizza

We have been ordering from Vancouver Veggi Pizza for a few times now since my friend mentioned it to us. Their big selling points for them are of course all vegetarian pizzas and that they use cheese without rennet. They also have specialty pizzas that are pretty cool like their paneer special. So one large pizza is $14 and the 2 for 1 deal is two large pizzas for $25. So far we are pretty happy with their pizzas. We have tried all the pizzas and have ordered Canadian pizza the most. I'm hoping to try the veggie burger sometimes in the future too :)

(I found this menu online and have been using it to order)

East Is East

Have been eating lots but haven't posted much lately...  So this is again a while back when the sun was still in hiding. Totally loving the weather now :D I've been to East is East is quite a few times to get their regular hot chai with my friend who is very much hooked on it. This time we're here to try the food out.

When I called to make a reservation for 4 people, only times left were like 430 or after 8, so we went for a very early dinner. There's not a lot of sitting inside, but the atmosphere is great and the service is very friendly.

They have a very good menu of vegetarian/vegan selections. We ordered 2 veggie rice bowls, both saag paneer and 2 veggie roti rolls, one with eggplants and the other I forgot. We all enjoyed the food although the portions weren't very big. My friends had the silk route feast before and recommended it. I know I will be getting that next time I'm back here :P

We also ordered two yogurt lassies, mixed berries and mango. Good stuff :)

Thought I would take a pic of the bill so I remember what I ordered... but then it doesn't have all the details I need :(

Nirvana

Nirvana is one of the restaurants that I have been curious to check out. Sometimes things just don't happen unless a series of things happen to line up at the right time. So it just happened that my friend has recently moved into that neighborhood and had time for lunch and I was given an entertainment book with a coupon for Nirvana, so we thought it was a good time to go try it out.

There's a veggie section on the lunch menu. It's not very big but I guess enough for us to pick two things off.

Friend ordered Chai Tea.

Yay papadum <3 This is what I look forward to when going for Indian food :P
Papadum
We ordered Palak Paneer and Vegetable Jalfrezi. The curries come with rice. We though the food was decent, but the curries did not have as much flavour as we liked.  It was a pretty quiet weekday lunch. I think We were the only two people there for a while, then another table of people came in. Overall it was a nice relaxing lunch with my friend and I'm glad I get to try the restaurant out :)

Taiwan Trip - Part XII (Part 2)

Day 12 continues -
At dinner time we split up into two groups. One went for Indian food.

India Palace

From what I heard, the food is good but a bit pricey :)
